Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. Over the weekend, I worked on a birthday card for one of the teachers I worked with. She requested a card for a former student of hers. Since her former student is a big Nintendo Fan, I might as well make him a Super Mario Bros Card.

Super excited to Announce....

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a great evening. Before I share some great news, I wanted to tell everyone that I participated in the Pole to Pole 5K Fun Run in Sea World, San Diego, CA. It was super fun. The Sea World Characters were cheering us on. I completed the run with the time 41.33. Not bad for my second 5k. Happy to have done it.

 For my project, I wanted to create something that can be displayed in the office or home. Since in the past I have visited Hawaii. I wanted to make something that reminds of that. This will be great to give someone that just got back from Hawaii or headed there. Hope everyone likes it.

 "Aloha"

 I wanted to display a beach scene. So I decided to create some tear art by creating the sand and waves. For the sand, I inked the edges with Memento Ink. Then, I used to my cuttlebug to emboss the waves with the D'vine Swirl Folder. For the Palm Trees, I used my Seasonal Cartridge: Luau. Then, I used the recollections feathery to create the leaves. I also included some brads from the Eyelet Outlet and Brad Company.

 For my sentiment, I used my K. Andrews Splash-tastic Stamp Set. I love this set because it fit perfectly for this card.  If you liked this sentiment, definitely check out her store online to purchase this set.

Happy 6th Year Wedding Anniversary !

Happy Sunday everyone! Today is a special day for my husband and I as we celebrate our 6th year Wedding Anniversary. No matter what we go through sometimes, in the end we love each other. He is an amazing man who loves me very much but spoils me like crazy. Either way, I am happy and blessed to be able to spend another wonderful year with him. Therefore, this weekend we have been having a fabulous time celebrating. Yesterday, we went to the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. It was our first time there so it was very beautiful and educational. Even though it was daylight and we were not able to see stars. LOL We hope to return.. Here is a picture of our day.

Today, on our Anniversary, what better way to spend our day then to head over to the Happiest Place on Earth. Oh yeah! We will be heading to Disneyland in Anahiem, CA today. Super excited as it has been a very long time since we have gone. Especially since we haven't renewed our passes. But, hoping I get renew mine today. Either way, we are excited to go visit Mickey & his friends. We are like kids at heart. 

Ok, enough of me rambling on.. I would like to share with you a card that I will be giving my husband today.As you know, I love to craft which is my hobby. But for my husband, his hobby is video games. He grew up playing video games. So I thought, why won't I create a card of the first video game he played which was Super Mario Brothers. This card will illustrate Mario who will now be called Peter because that is my hubby's name. It will also have Peach Princess watching him from the hills. If you visited me on Friday for the Getting Cricky "Show your Style" blog hop, then you saw this shadow box frame I made for my husband, I will then include this card.

"Anniversary Card: Video Game Edition"

 For the hills, I used the George & Basic Shapes Cartridge and cut Cylinder Shapes and a rectangle for the brick.  Then, I embossed the hills, the brick, and heart with my cuttlebug folders: D'vine Swirls, Tiny Bubbles, & Swiss Dots.

 I used Simply Charmed to cut out the mushrooms as they are one of the many characters that is part of the game. For my sentiment, it comes from the K. Andrews Of Mice & Lil Men Stamp Set. If you would like to purchase this set: click here.

 For the characters, I used again my Simply Charmed Cartridge and cut the scarecrow for Mario a.k.a Peter & the Bride for Princess Peach. Then, I cut the colors to how they are suppose to look like.

Of Mice & Lil Men

Hi everyone! I'm super excited to begin my first Blog Hop with my Design Team for Getting Cricky. I have been looking forward for this day to come. I also want to thank everyone for stopping by my blog today. This is such a great theme for a hop. I have been crafting for maybe 2 years now. Over time, I feel I have grown as a crafter. I started off with scrapbooking first, then slowly with cards next, and eventually became able to do projects such as party favors, altered projects, and more. I don't have one particular style, I believe I have more which means I love creating things that are easy and simple, but also started to love making things that are 3 Dimensional. Overall, I hope you love what I created today for this fun hop.

Before I showcase my project, let me tell you a little about it. This Sunday, my husband and I will be celebrating our 6th year Wedding Anniversary. We have been a couple for 15 years, I guess you would say we were High School Sweethearts. Well, this year my husband kept telling me he didn't want me to buy him anything, just spending the day with me was all he wanted. So I decided to make him a special gift for his office. Therefore, I decided to put together a nice picture frame of our wedding, especially since he doesn't have one in his office.  I really hope he likes it. I tried not to make it to girly. LOL

"Dreams do Come True"

 Wedding Date: April 22, 2006

 I purchased a shadow box from Michaels and measured paper to the side of the cardboard of the frame box. For example, the first layer is some beautiful Celebration Paper from Stampin Up.It is measured at 8 x9.5. Then, for the light blue card stock, it is measured at 6 x 8 I believe. I wanted the colors to match up with what our wedding colors were.

 Then, I used some Blue Twine to hold the tag with the beautiful sentiment "Dreams do come true."

 I then placed 3 Light Blue Prima flowers at the bottom of the frame. Then, I added a clear adhesive sentiment that says, "I love you." On the front of the frame, I placed this beautiful border from Queen & Company.

I truly love how this frame turned out. I might have to create more like these for my home.

Birthday Card

Hello friends! Yesterday, we attended our Kinder Field Trip to Amy's Farm. The students had alot of fun despite the warm weather. They got to pet some sheeps, feed the pigs, and even met their famous cow on their farm called Tina who is 80 years old. Here is a quick photo of some of the animals that the students saw.

Now, onto my project. My mom called me the other day because she wanted me to make a birthday card for one of her co-workers. So I told my mom that I would put one together and this is what I've made.

Lazy Days in Spring

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. Later today, the Kinder Class I work in will be taking a trip to the Farm. The students are super excited about seeing all the farm animals. I do hope it doesn't get to hot tomorrow but I know it will be a great day.

However, I wanted to showcase a card I made the other day. Since Spring time brings sunny days, it could also bring rainy days. Last Friday, we had a really bad rain storm. There was thunder and hail. But this week we have been have some nice weather. I made a cute card describing both rain and lazy days. LOL

Lazy Days in Spring 

 For my card, I decided to create some tear art for the grass and sand. Then I inked the beige card stock with Desert Sand Momento Ink.

 I used the Simply Charmed to cut out the clouds. The bigger cloud is measured at 1.5 and the other 2 mini clouds is measured at 1-1/4. Then, I inked the sides of the clouds with Ocean Blue Momento Ink. Then, I added some bakers twine and attached the sentiment "Lazy Days" using K. Andrews "Splash-tastic Summer Stamp Set. "

 I added this adorable beach chair laying by the sand on a rainy day. The brad comes from the Eyelet Outlet & Brad Company. I purchased these during the Scrapbook Expo.
