 Hi everyone! I'm back from my trip to Vegas. Thank you everyone for your sweet comments. Hubby and I had a fun time! I won $100 bucks. So the first thing I did today was headed over to Joann's to do some shopping. No worries, didn't spend it all. I stayed within my budget:$20 bucks for the day. LOL!

Hi everyone! I am currently off with my hubby on the road to Vegas. We are looking forward to getting away for 2 days to have some fun. Well, I definitely had a fantastic time at the Ellen Show yesterday. It will be airing Today! I loved the energy in the room, everyone up and dancing, including myself. I attended the show with my husband, younger sister, and her boyfriend. The special guest was Selena Gomez. Everyone in the audience got a free ticket to attend her concert at the Orange County Fair this Summer. We are super excited because we get to enter the fair FREE and get to see her in concert. But, the best part of this is that I get to share this concert experience with my sister Leslie because it will be her first concert ever. I also gave Ellen's Staff the card I made for Ellen. So here's hoping I hear a response from her. :) Okay, I think I did too much talking, lol.

Welcome to my Blog and the Lucky Charm Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting  Carrie you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can start at the beginning at www.crossmyheartpapercrafts.blogspot.com. This blog hop is all about creating something for the lucky charm in your life..

I’m excited because this is the Second Blog Hop to be participating in. I would like to thank Giselle and Nadia for putting this together. It’s been so much fun creating this project about the lucky charm of my life. This month, my husband and I will be together as a couple for 14 years now. Next month will be our 5^th year wedding anniversary! He is truly the lucky charm in my life because he is such a loving, hard working, and incredible man. He takes good care of me, spoils me tremendously, and supports my crazy obsession for scrapbooking/cardmaking. 

We were asked to create a project for the lucky charm in our life. I created a centerpiece that he is able to display in his office at work. I wanted it symbolize things that we enjoy together. The one thing that we enjoy is Disney. If you notice, the top part of the centerpiece is shaped like Mickey Mouse. Then, I added some fun Gold Coins hanging down from it! Here is a short clip of my project. 

{Some of the basic tools that you would need to create this project.}

 {Insert foam into pot & then cover with Card Stock.}

 {Attach two small foam balls with a straight pin to be inserted into the larger foam ball. This will create a Mickey Head. Then with a Martha Stewart Shamrock Punch: Punch several shamrocks using 2 different colors to cover the foam balls. I attached the shamrocks with a green or yellow straight pin to the center of each clover. }

 {Then you take a 1/2 wooden dowel and wrap it with tape floral. Then, you will insert it into the pot and place the Mickey Head Piece onto the dowel.}

 {Simply Charmed Cartridge: Cut Leprechaun at 4 in. I added a button to it's jacket. Then, I used one of the St. Paddy's stickers from Recollections.}

 {On each side of the leprechaun, I placed an eyelet brad of a sign that says "Leprechaun Crossing." I added Green & Yellow Spool Ribbon hanging down the Foam ball.}

 {I attached a gold coin that says "Get Lucky" to each ribbon}

 {Shamrocks are surrounded around the pot.}

Spring Time is Near!

Hi Friends! Great weekend so far. I have my niece's Sweet 15 party to attend later today, so I'm looking forward to going and to see some family. But, before that, I had some time to work in my scrapbook room. Tomorrow, we will be going out to dinner to celebrate my mother-n-laws birthday which it wont be till next Friday, but we are celebrating it tomorrow because she is heading to Vegas next weekend. So I decided to make a birthday card for her using Spring Colors since I am entering this card into My Pink Stamper's Blog Hop Challenge. I used the Create a Critter Cartridge and my first set of My Pink Stamper Stamps. I know that my mother n law will love her card.

Sweet 15

Hi Friends! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Wow, today was such a beautiful but very warm sunny day in Southern California. I totally enjoyed it! Well, I'm definitely looking forward to my weekend, happy hour with great friends, spending time with the hubby, and celebrating my Cousin's daughter Quincenera which means "Sweet 15". Wow, I remember back in 1995 when I celebrated my Quincenera. I remember it was a nice and intimate party with my family. Enjoyed some delicious food and dancing. Well, since my Niece Sonia is celebrating her 15th birthday party, I wanted to make a beautiful card for her with the colors of her party. Her Quincenera dress is gold and the decorations are gold and white, so I went to Stamp Your Heart Out, a Stamping and Scrapbooking store where they had some Bazzil Cardstock Paper. I know that she will love her card very much.

Well, look no further. 

Here is a card that will provide you with just that. 

We were asked to make a project with/about MOVEMENT (i.e. sports theme, spinner card, with an action wobble, etc.) I definitely made mine a spinner card in which I used pennies to create the Hula Dancers to move from side to side. I apologize if I do not have a video up as I am still learning how to create tutorials or videos. I decided to make a Hawaiian theme card because I plan to do a Scrapbooking Party down the road where it will be Hawaiian theme. This card would be perfect for an invitation. 

 [I used: Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge, Pink & Blue Card stock, Baby Rice Rack Croquet Ribbon, Martha Stewart Crab Puncher, Queen & Co. Green Pearls, Embossed Skirts, Handmade Aloha Sticker]

 [ I cute a slit on each side of the Island. I place one penny on the back side of the slit. Then I place a pop up on the penny and place the second penny on top of the opposite side of the island. Then, I put another pop up on the top penny where I then place the Hawaiian Girl. That will allow for the Hawaiian Girl to move from side to side. Make sure you place pop ups on the Island so that the penny is able to move]

 [You are now noticing that the Hula Dancers are begining to hula from side to side.]

[Here it shows the movement of the doll.]
