OMG! What a day! The Scrapbook Expo was so much fun! My friends and I did some damage. It's so hard to not go overboard in spending, lol. It was definitely nice going on a Sunday, not too crowded and the prices were reduced at some places. Definitely bought a lot of goodies. Here are a few pics to share my day at the Expo.

Get Well Card made by my Niece

Hi everyone! Tomorrow is going to be a fun day for me and my friends as we will be attending the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim. Let's see what fun we will do. Hope to not go overboard with spending. LOL  Just wanted to share a card that my Niece Briana made for her mommy who is my sister-n-law because she wasn't feeling well. Just to tell you a little bit about her. My niece who is 7 years old loves to spend time with me in my scrapbook room! She always asks me when I'm going to have a scrapbook party because she wants to scrapbook. So she loves to ask me if she can use some of my things to make a card or something. So she wanted me to post it on my blog for others to see. Thank you for taking the time to check out her card.

Count your cookies in the Oven

Rainy night again! I guess we have to endure more rain this weekend! Well, if we can't go outside, at least we can be inside and craft away! As many of you might not know, I am currently going to school to hopefully become an Elementary School Teacher. I received my Master's Degree in Education 2 years ago, but I'm taking the last few classes I need to earn my teaching credential, and also trying to pass the CSET. So on Thursday nights I'm currently taking a course called "Curriculum Development in Math & Science. I have a Math Teaching presentation coming up in which I will describe a math activity that teaches Number Recognition. I'm basing the activity on the story "The Doorbell Rang" by Pat Hutchins. I used my Cricut machine to create the activity called "Count your Cookies in the Oven."

Recipe:

George & Basic Shapes: Circle Size 5 on Tan for cookies

Cuttin Up Cartridge: Numbers 1-12 Size 3.5 on Red Card Stock

From My Kitchen Cartridge: Oven Size 5

 Anticipatory Setting: I will read the story to the kinders to introduce the math activity.

 Guided Practice Lesson: The students will work individually or in pairs to play the math activity.

 The ovens and cookie numbers will be laminated so that it can be used often without damaging or ripping.

 The students will be asked to read and recognize the number.

The students will use clay to form the number on the cookie. Then they will use the clay to shape them into cookies and place that number of cookies onto the oven.

I would have never thought that my Cricut machine would come in handy in creating my teaching lessons. Well, I hope everyone enjoyed the math activity I created. With so many things that I have going on this week, I wanted to make sure that my presentation for my upcoming class this Thursday was set to go. I'm also excited because I will be attending the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim on Sunday. If anyone is attending this Sunday, please let me know so we can meet up to say hello.

Delivery & Disney Layout

Happy Friday! Well, since Fridays are my days off, I got to do many things. I started off with a 411 Blogger assitance to my friend Vero! Then, headed home to find some packages at the door with my name on it. Yay, and you ask what they are! Let me tell you. I got two different Stampin Up Orders. The first order is from my friend Janine who was a Stampin Up Demonstrator and the second order was from a great person who I call her my friend since I have met her here on the blogging world is Norma from pinkblingcrafter. I took advantage of the Sale-Bration sale they are currently having right now. From the two orders I have made, I received a free stamp set from each. Yay! Definitely take advantage of this great sale by visitng Norma's blog. She has some amazing projects that she made by using Stampin Up Products. The next thing I received was my first My Pink Stampers: More Punnylicious Stamp Set. I was really excited that I purchased her stamps. I look forward to creating some fun projects.

 I have one more stamp set that should arrive Next Monday which is called Fox & friends Stamps.

Lastly, I got to make some time to catch up also on my scrapbooking. Unfortunately, I'm not very good with keeping up to date on scrapbooking my pictures. I don't scrapbook in order which I feel that I shouldn't do that. But, this is a Disney Layout that I made from a Disney Tour my husband and I did. It illustrates us enjoying dinner at P.F. Chang's after a fun day at Disney! This is one of the last pages I needed to finish to complete my album. I'm entering this A through Z challenge into gettingcricky . We were asked to create anything as long as it had ALPHABET Theme which basically invovles letters. So hopefully this follows the requirement. I used the Mickey Font Cartridge and other embellishments to create the layout!

Make a Wish with Jiminy Cricket!

Well, after a great day at work, I got some time to craft in my scraproom. My husband asked if I can make a card for one of his co-workers named Angela. She is the kindest person ever! So I wanted to make fun card with the Disney Classic Cartridge that my husband gave me for Valentine's Day! As I was exploring looking at all the fantastic characters that were displayed in this cartridge. I knew I was going to enjoy making layouts, cards, and other fun projects. Here is the card I made.

Sweet Haircut!

Happy President's Day everyone! Today was my day off from work. I got to enjoy most of the day with my loving husband! Then, I decided that after having somewhat of my long hair, I wanted to get a hair cut. Sometimes, I catch myself wandering, "Do I really want to do this!" Sure enough, I did just that.

Hi everyone! Wow, the rain has finally gone away! I'm hoping for Spring to come sooner so we can enjoy the sunny weather in Southern California. Rainy Day= Craft Time!

Wow! Second Day of Rain! Hoping for some sun soon! I hope everyone is having a nice evening so far! Since I've spent pretty much a day indoors, I decided to make a card for my husband's boss and dear friend of ours: Dr. Rick Quintero. His anniversary to his beautiful wife Mrs. Elva is this upcoming Friday. So he asked if I can make him an anniversary card that he can give his wife next week. Hi! I hope everyone is having a good start to their weekend. Right now it's raining in Southern California. Today was a fun day. My husband, sister, and I headed out to the National History Museum and California Science Center in L.A. It was definitely fun to catch up on some great facts. Second Challenge is called "Material Girl" which can be found at http://www.gettingcricky.com/2011/02/challenge-stamping-material-girl.html . You are to make a project using a stamped type image and textile (ribbon, fabric, tulle, etc). Since a friend of mine celebrate her birthday this week, I decided to make this stylish card for her. I used a rubber stamp that I had used for a card earlier in one of my posts, but I cut out the dog that the girl is walking. Here is what I made:
